MiG

Kelowna Links Sudbury Paris Ottawa Bermuda

Created in 1980, MiG was a character  who exemplified the average child being raised in a time when the world’s parents, teachers and most other adults were (and are) increasingly fearful and perplexed.

MiG appeared regularly in Sudbury Ontario’s Northern Life newspaper (Laurentian Publishing) for a few years.

From the very beginning, MiG’s single panel antics and commentary ruffled many a feather in the adult world. But he had kids giggling at the whole “funny thing” that life is.

The MiG compendium of cartoons appeared at the behest of Michael Atkins, owner and publisher of Northern Life.

The whole printing of several thousand books was sold within a few months.
